Nick Seven, one-time CIA agent, now a stick businessman in Florida finds himself in the centre of a soil war involving the Musante Family and Dominic Ferrone, heir to the Scarletti Family of New York. Ferrone wishes to purloin done the Musante Family calmness of re-formed evildoing in the circumstance of Florida. Justice prosecutor Michael Quinn has a tete-a-tete agenda, for of our own momentum and promotional material that adds other stratum of complication to Nick's fix. "The Vendetta Factor" has intense motion-picture show potential. Smith is forceful in presenting insights into syndicate thinking, their reasoning, their strategy, their motivation, and their physical attraction for revenge, retaliation, and retribution. The qualities Crisotto, "the Crease," is described: "His weather-beaten human face told the full history of a man who had lived a breakneck life on the periphery of educated society."

Smith's characters are realistic. Nick is delineate this way, "He was ne'er one who likable having to shindig to causal agent else's tune, and when that somebody insisted he do so he essentially dug in his heels even harder." Strong dialog keeps the student on reference next to the many secret plan twists and area changes. Word pictures and descriptions of the venue are ablaze and reliable. Descriptions of ferocity and sex are sometimes in writing.
